In 2019, proceeds of Mia Series were used to send donated school supplies, collected at the store at Essential Extra as well as gathered from individual contributors. We continue to focus our efforts on recycling and we are so grateful for the efforts made by the community to breathe new life into unwanted stationary. 

February 2019
We also used sale proceeds to build proper central toilet facilities at school in February. The previous facilities were inadequate for the number of children and staff.

July 2019
In July we installed a drinking water system and dispenser on campus so that the children now have clean water to drink whilst attending class.

For nutrition month, we sent bags of the rice to feed some of the malnourished children.

We were proud to send our student athletes to the regionals in track and field, and sponsored athletic shoes and clothing for our competitors. 

We also sent off another graduating class and sponsored graduation as well as tents and equipment for an autumn camping trip for the children

Late 2019
Later in the year, we provided standing fans in all of the classrooms, which delighted the children and made it a lot more comfortable to learn. To enhance the safety and security of our children, we also built a fence around the school.

Our students accomplished so much this past year, among other things placing in the regional sports event, and taking honours in their science “sci-lympics.”

None of this would have been possible without the kind donations of stationary, uniforms and generous support of the community for WoonHung Mia Series and the Anecito Panolion Elementary School.
